Join us for the 2026 Gulf Coast Watermelon Convention at the stunning Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama!

We are now accepting hotel reservations for our upcoming event. Through this website you can book, modify or cancel your hotel reservations at any time. Resort Fee Notice: Daily resort fee of 15% of the room rate per room per night and is taxable at 7%. This fee will cover several amenities onsite.

Friday

8am-5pm Exhibitor setup and Registration

6:00 PM – Until - President’s Reception. Step back in time at The Grand, one of America’s most celebrated historic hotels, for an unforgettable evening of Gatsby at The Grand. Enjoy dinner, cocktails, and the lively entertainment of dueling pianos in true 1920s style. 1920s attire encouraged but not required.

Saturday

9am-11am Grower Breakfast

The Grower Breakfast features our annual general membership session, industry presentations, and keynote speakers. The program also includes speeches from this year’s Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen contestants.

12pm-12:30pm Annual Seed Spit Contest

12:30pm-1:30pm Lunch and Contestant promotion wear competition

1:30pm-3:30pm Annual Auction

6:00-7:00pm Raffle Draw Down & Social Hour

7:00pm-10pm Banquet & Awards Presentation

The Banquet is the highlight of convention weekend, bringing together members and guests for awards, the Evening Gown Competition, Farewell to the 2025 Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen and the crowning of our next Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen. It’s an evening filled with tradition, excitement, and memorable moments.
