Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen?
The Gulf Coast Watermelon Association is seeking an enthusiastic, professional young woman to serve as our Watermelon Queen and promotional ambassador for the upcoming year.
As a paid public relations representative, the Queen will represent our growers and promote the watermelon industry through school visits, supermarket promotions, parades, festivals, media interviews, and other scheduled appearances. This role offers the opportunity to connect with communities, build communication and leadership skills, and earn scholarship funds while sharing the story of our industry.
At the conclusion of her reign, the Gulf Coast Watermelon Queen will compete for the title of National Watermelon Queen at the National Watermelon Association’s Annual Convention.
Interested in representing the Gulf Coast Watermelon Association? Contact Sarah Jane Levine at (337) 348-4465 for more information about the position and application process.
